As our first post, we thought it befitting to address this frequently asked question: “Why the name “Amber Vet”?”.
We chose Amber for it’s significance as a tree resin that is fossilized over long periods of up to several million years. Amber has the ability to preserve organic matter trapped within it, and is thus thought to signify the preservation of life. Amber has also been used in ancient times in Greek and Chinese medicine, and thus embodies healing properties within it as well. In addition, Amber has also been thought to be able to absorb and transform negative energy to positive energy.
With this pro-life significance of Amber in mind, we strive to provide all our animal companions with the best veterinary care possible, and in so doing we hope to enhance the bond between pets and their owners.
