Pre-Export Check

Amber Vet provides health certificates and associated treatments for export purposes, under the guidance of the pet owner’s appointed pet export agent or pet owner.

We are not able to advise on the requirements for exportation. We strongly recommend that pet owners appoint a professional animal export agent to manage the export requirements for their pets’ travels. Pet export regulations vary widely from country to country, and may change at any time and without notice.

It is the responsibility of the pet owner to obtain all necessary forms and other documents required for export, and be aware of the timeline required for export-related documentation, examinations and treatments. If pet owners are managing the export process themselves, these documents may be obtained from the embassy or consulate of the country of destination and may be available on the internet. Vaccination requirements, microchip requirements, and in some countries rabies titre requirements, are especially important. If proper requirements are not met and/or documents are improperly completed or not completed at the right time, the pet may be subject to additional procedures/costs such as additional treatments, re-certification and/or a quarantine period as required by the destination country.
