Amber Vet is a pro-life practice. Euthanasia will only be considered by the veterinarian when it is assessed that your pet is intractably suffering with a very grave prognosis for survival.

We do not entertain requests to euthanase a pet without a consultation and without the veterinarian's subsequent assessment that euthanasia should be considered. Upon consultation, we will thoroughly discuss your pet's condition, prognosis and all treatment options with you.

Examples of cases where we do not euthanase an animal includes chronic skin problems, behavioural issues, and inability of the owner to care for the pet.
